The Story

Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 50.8%

A small batch Benrinnes single malt Scotch whisky, distilled on 22 April 2015 and bottled in April 2026 by Signatory Vintage as part of The Monuments of Scotland series. Matured for 11 years and finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts from cask numbers 1, 2, 3 and 6, this release was bottled at its natural cask strength of 50.8% ABV and presented in Signatory Vintage's distinctive Ibisco decanter. Bottled without chill filtration or added colour, it showcases Benrinnes' rich, full-bodied Speyside spirit, complemented by the depth, dried fruit character and warming spice imparted by the active first-fill sherry casks.

Part of Signatory Vintage's Monuments of Scotland collection, this series celebrates some of Scotland's most iconic prehistoric landmarks, with each release featuring artwork inspired by a historic monument.

This bottling depicts Tomnaverie Stone Circle, a remarkably well-preserved recumbent stone circle near Tarland in Aberdeenshire, dating to around 2500 BC. Excavations carried out in the late 20th century transformed our understanding of these unique monuments, revealing that they were carefully constructed ceremonial sites associated with cremation burials and aligned with the surrounding landscape. Today, Tomnaverie is regarded as one of the finest and most important surviving examples of a recumbent stone circle in Scotland.
