This Daftmill exclusive release for the UK market (cask number 037), is a 12-year-old Lowland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at a robust 60.1% ABV without colouring or chill filtration. Distilled during the summer on the 6th July 2011, the spirit was matured in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel from Clermont Springs before being bottled in January 2024.
For those interested in the technical details of its production, the Publican barley variety was grown in the 43ac field and harvested by John and Sandy on 28th and 29th August 2009. The barley was then dried and stored on the farm before being malted in Alloa during the summer of 2010.
