A 1974 Mannochmore Speyside single malt whisky bottled as a 22-year-old at full cask strength for United Distillers' famous Rare Malts Selection in 1997, just a couple of months before UD became part of Diageo.

This unchillfiltered 22-year-old Mannochmore 1974 clocks in at a scarcely believable 60.1% but is remarkably palatable at full strength, with rich fruit balanced by an austere minerality and a bracingly spicy finish that is easily tamed with a drop of water.
